I will say this for the new 88.5 FM call letters: In the nearly 100 years of radio broadcasting, this call letter combination K N K X has never been used at any time, by a radio or television station. So, this is a “brand new” set of call letters! …“Rock 98.9” KVRQ Seattle has appointed Kim Monroe as Assistant Program Director. Monroe will also host an air shift. This is a return to the Seattle market for her as she worked at Alternative 96.5 KXRX and “107.7 The End” KNDD in the 1990s…Local music networks – you’ll see more such things as stations consolidate: Local Radio Networks (LRN) adds Rocking M Media to its growing list of affiliates. Rocking M Media’s stations are located throughout the state of Kansas. LRN will provide eight 24/7 music formats to Rocking M’s 21 music broadcast stations…South Carolina: Alpha Media/Columbia signs Brooke & Jubal to mornings starting Monday, August 15th. The WARQ FM show will air weekdays from 6AM to 10AM. Brooke & Jubal originate their show from KQMV Seattle.
