Radio Insight reports: John Fisher departs mornings at Soft AC “94.1 The Sound” KSWD. He joined the station in January 2018 after previously spending over two decades as morning host on AAA “103.7 The Mountain” KMTT from 1992 until the station flipped in 2013.

John Fisher – 94.1 The Sound

Today was my last day on the air at 94.1 The Sound. When they asked me at the beginning of 2018 to help launch their new station and play Lionel Richie and Celine Dion songs, I thought they were kidding. But I learned so much, I worked with so many bright, committed people who put The Sound on the map, and I met a ton of fantastic listeners. It was a thrill and a pleasure. On to the next thing!

  • 94.1 is supposed to be KOL.
850 is supposed to be KTAC. I was the last morning man there so that time slot belongs to me.
103.7 is supposed to be Beautiful Music KBRD.
1360 is supposed to be KMO (Country).
1400 is supposed to be KTNT.
A lot of things ain't what they are supposed to be.
In some section of the Twilight Zone, 94.1 is still KOL and I still have the morning show at 85 KTAC.

    • I agree with you on 850, 1360 and 1400...

In a perfect world, 850 would also still have Tacoma Rainiers games, and either 1360 or 1400 would still have Pacific Lutheran and University of Puget Sound sports(I seriously miss hearing PLU games on the radio)... and, maybe 850 would still be running Tacoma Stars games as well... alas, that is not the case(but a sports fan can dream can't he?).

      • Right. Those three stations had local sports covered! Some great sportscasters in the mix, Bob Robertson, Art Popham, Bud Blair...

    • 94.1 is supposed to be dead air/static
1300 is supposed to be dead air/static
103.7 is supposed to be dead air/static
1360 is supposed to be dead air/static
And 850 is supposed to be dead air/static, because if you went back far enough, way back far enough, that’s what all of them would’ve been. Why not now? Problem solved.

  • 94.1 is supposed to be KMPS not The Sound. 90.1 is also called The Sound. Should’ve copyrighted that shyt

  • Listeners can always turn to Internet radio. It appears the corporate stations have decided to automate.
