Morton Downey, Jr., has been installed as disk jockey on KJR’s 9-to-midnight berth. He is the son of the famed Irish tenor who was the nation’s first vocalist with a popular band (Paul Whiteman, 1924). The elder Downey also has achieved some notice in recent years by turning over his summer home at Hyannis Port to the present occupant of the White House . . .
