KOL News –1967

Munson (William Ruel Bradbury) got his air name from KOL PD Buzz Barr in 1965 — combining the names of hydro drivers Bill Muncey and Ron Musson. After KOL, Munson went to KFRC (adopting the air name B.R. Bradbury), then KHJ and KPOL (Los Angeles).

Taylor joined the news department in summer 1967, after positions as news director at KMO and KTAC (Tacoma) and KJNO (Juneau).

The inimitable Logan went to KIXI, then KRUX (Phoenix), and San Antonio.

B.R. and Taylor reunited in 1980, during KAYO’s short-lived news/talk format. B.R. moved on to KJR, and ultimately to CFUN. He passed away Jan. 17, 2001, at age 58.
