KGB San Diego was a Drake station, the favorite of my neice who was growing up in San Diego in the 1960s/1970s. I'm sure she sampled KCBQ, the station that hired away nearly the entire KGB staff in 1971.
Bill Gardner (KING) also worked at KOOL/Phoenix. Tony Evans and Steve Goddard also moved on to Phoenix stations.
