A message from KONA Radio: It is with great sadness that we share with you the news that long-time KONA news anchor and reporter Dennis Shannon has passed away at the age of 68. Dennis was an integral part of the KONA family for more than 17 years. Dennis was born and raised in Seattle before attending Washington State University to pursue his dream of becoming a broadcaster. That dream took him to radio jobs in Seattle, Bellevue, and Everett before landing in the Tri-Cities. His friends, family, and KONA family will miss him dearly.

He and I worked together at KOMO and was not only a terrific news reporter and anchor, but more importantly Dennis was a great guy!
May he rest in peace.
