Fasten your seat belt. Today’s traffic reports are done from the studio

Chris Sulivan reports from the KIRO studios using traffic cams and other sources. The days of ‘eyes in the sky’ copters and planes are long past. KOMO 4 had a couple tragic outcomes with their copters years ago and have abandoned that method of reporting.
Using WashDOT cameras, your radio and tv traffic monitoring is done on a PC.

This type of reporting is also being done at hubbed tv outlets for distant markets serviced by group station owners. All the action and adventure has gone out of traffic reporting.
