Text to airstaff company-wide: "We love you all and want to offer you the chance for real financial security, so effective 9/1 airstaff payroll is cut 30% across the board. We guess a third of you will bail on the spot and we are offering vacant shifts to those peppy and perky go-getters who submit lowest bid, as in "I'll work for $9 per hour" might get to stay on whereas $9.50 would show lack of motivation, so "out ya go". Bid six 10-hour shifts a week on maybe 20 different stations, and that's $630 Every Damn Week with o.t., over thirty grand a year - - good dough for radio, ya gotta admit! As we like to say, "we love ya!!"
