KING 5 Evening Magazine’s Kim Holcomb announces:
It feels surreal to post this but I’m making a major life change: I’ve decided to not renew my contract and I’m leaving KING & Evening. I’m so proud of everything I’ve accomplished during my almost 18 years at the station, and I’m eternally grateful for every viewer who’s watched and supported our show. But, a lot has changed in the past 1.5 years and I feel like it’s time to step away, move forward and try something different (which sounds like a weird jig but YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.) I’m not sure what comes next, but I’m thrilled to find out! Thanks for being a part of my little life.

Thanks to EstoyListo for the heads up on this story!

  • Will miss Kim. Who is bigger disappointment King 5 or Mariners.

    • Mariners. They are a garbage franchise. I wish Stanton would sell to an owner that cares about winning.

  • For someone like Kim to leave after so many years at a job she loves --- there must be a problem at KING 5 no one is speaking about.

    • Going on what the stated hiring objectives of KING 5 are, Kim's "exit" comes as no surprise. I always thought she did a good job and was largely responsible for it's success.

  • So sorry to see Kim leaving KING 5. She is a fabulous member of the evening trio and her comments are well said. She is polished, professional and charming as an evening television host. Best Wishes in the future Kim!

    • Pay her and give her whatever she wants. She is an asset you can not afford to lose.

  • Evening Mag will not survive without Kim.Ive watched her every day since I moved to the Seattle area over 20 years ago. Goodbye Kim my family will miss seeing your face on TV, good luck in your new endeavor.

  • Sorry to see Kim go. She’s always been one of my favorites.
