KUNS will be the “new” home of CW network in January

A press release from Sinclair had announced the move of CW from KOMO 4.2 to KUNS, which begins in January. Somehow, we missed that memo.

Seattle, WA – September 28, 2023 – KUNS, Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Seattle station, today announced The CW Network, currently airing on Sinclair’s KOMO 4.2 (COMET), will
move to KUNS beginning January 1, 2024. In addition to CW programming, which will air nightly from 8-10pm, KUNS will broadcast
local and national news programming throughout the week as well as CW Sports programming on the weekends.
KUNS will expand the local programming of KOMO News and lifestyle program Seattle Refined currently airing on KOMO 4.1. The station will also add The National Desk and The National Weather Desk programs to the KUNS lineup, providing viewers with realtime national news and regional stories from around the country.
KOMO 4.2 will resume the complete COMET program lineup on January 1, 2024, featuring top sci-fi and fantasy entertainment franchises.
KOMO 4.1 will continue broadcasting as an ABC affiliate and will celebrate its 70th Anniversary on December 10, 2023, which includes special 70th Anniversary stories airing every Thursday at 6pm on KOMO 4.1 now through mid-December 2023.
