  • Bob Cooper's command of KOL was short, as Buzz Barr was brought in to give KOL life in the competition with KJR in 1965. Bob Cooper was there after John Stone left in 1963 for San Bernadino and before Buzz Barr in '65. Not unusual to have heavy turn-over with jocks, not so much with PDs, except in the case of a station like KOL which struggled to match KJR.

  • Bob Cooper sure worked a long shift. Anyone know if it is the same Cooper who later managed KOL?
