Originally, built by KMO TV. KMO TV studios were originally in the Keys Building in downtown Tacoma, above the Tele-News Theater at 916 Broadway.

Basil, dummy and air personality, and his sidekick, ventriloquist Rod James, barnstormed western Washington in the KTVW “Snak Wagon,” dispensing goodies and entertainment to kiddies. The station estimated that 5,000 youngsters thronged the traveling delicatessen on its 15 trips; Nearly 1,000 homes were visited. Sponsors this year included: Archway Cookies, Dr. Pepper, Phillip Morris Cigarettes, TV Guide, Chex Chlorophyl Mints, Sioux Honey, Nalley’s, Brown & Haley, Hamrick Theaters and the Tacoma Star.
