Out of his league. KCAL anchor sucks the excitement out of a car chase.

Once KFI’s Tim Conway Jr. began tracking a car chase this afternoon, I got caught up in the FOX 11 KTTV live feed and KCAL 9’s vast library of chases on Youtube. Chauncy Glover, KCAL’s 5 & 11 anchor, was a real distraction during one chase, with a barrage of crutch phrases and minimal placeholder noises. He seemed to be struggling and must be very dependent on teleprompters, because he fails to deliver during impromptu live action events. I’ve watched several hours of lawn mower reviews that were less frustrating. Veteran anchor Pat Harvey to the rescue, picking up the pace and handling the bulk of the coverage, thankfully.
