Susan Knight is stepping away from radio broadcasting after an impressive 35-year career hosting shows on stations throughout Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Most recently, she served as promotions director and swing host at Pattison Media’s The Zone (CJZN-FM) and 100.3 The Q (CKKQ-FM) in Victoria. While leaving on-air hosting behind, Knight plans to continue her voiceover work and embark on a new professional path as a licensed real estate appraiser.
Rogers Sports & Media’s 1130 NewsRadio (CKWX-AM) in Vancouver is celebrating 30 years on the air. The station rebranded from Country 1130 to News 1130 on February 8, 1996. The inaugural newscast under the new format was delivered by then-News Director Tom Mark.

Thanks for the local Canadian news, Jason. Northwest Broadcasters, Radio West, and Puget Sound Radio appear to have stopped providing it. Broadcast Dialogue, published in Toronto, covers all of Canada, so it misses some southwestern BC news on occasion.
