Ethan Raup, KEXP’s COO since 2016, has been appointed as President and CEO of the station. KEXP began as KCMU, a 10-watt student-run station at the University of Washington, and is celebrating its 50th year in operation in 2022.

  • College radio stations are necessary as the training grounds are disappearing. KMIH, 88.9 Seattle is a high school station. We need those and more trade schools. Kids need to learn practical skills in plumbing, welding etc. Our 16 year old daughter is involved in DECA at her high school which concentrates on business skills. There is so much more that high schools should offer.
