Though I am not at liberty to discuss full details of the settlement, I will say this is justice for the incessant phone calls received from Sirius sales reps. Even though I told them that my car was not equipped to receive satellite radio, the calls continued. The frustration and mental anguish from this harassment was, as the millennials say, “so annoying.”
This check will go a long way toward paying off that car, utility bills, and putting food on our table. Finally, new shoes for our youngest daughter!

When I had KBFW, 930 kc, at remotes we gave out lots of amounts with 930 in them. 930 dollars. $9.30. I don't recall doing 93 cents.
At KBAM Longview, WA., we gave out grab bags with assorted items. This being a country music station, the owner thought corn cob pipes were the item to include. Other trinkets were the typical swag such as ink pens with the station logo or Dollar Store items. Cheap crap!
But the listeners lit up the phones at contest time. Many listeners were repeat winners. How many corn cob pipes did they need?
We tried to avoid the Snuffy Smith image.
Breakfast at McDonalds will about wipe it out. ;)
Due to advertising, children, even at the age of 3, will see the Golden Arches sign and start pointing and asking for "mcDonalds!!!" This is insane. Due to the Damndemic, most restaurants have stopped passing out menus, cut back on portions, and customer service has gone to Hell. We have stopped going to restaurants and do more cooking at home.
When I was a kid about 5 I had to have a Davy Crocket hat, a Rifleman gun and a Bat Masterson cane. Kids have been ad fodder for more than 50 years.
When you cash or deposit the check, I dare you to endorse it "R. U. Sirius."
But Siriusly, remember it's not the principle of the thing, it's the money.
