  • Does anyone know what happened to Dan Foley after he left King.

    • Dan and I shared a townhouse in Bellevue during the time he was doing nights at KING 1090-AM and I was doing nights at KUUU 1590-AM. I recall that Dan was talking about real estate broker-investment ventures toward the tail-end of his time at KING and I remember him mentioning California and Texas. I did a search on the California Bar Association website and came up with two possibles:

Foley, Daniel Thomas Resigned 111555 Las Vegas December 1983
Foley, Daniel Lawrence Deceased 212693 Hesperia April 2001

Can't remember Dan's middle name, so this may be way off, but the second person listed went to the University of Washington for his Bachelor.

      Then found this additional info:
Daniel Lawrence Foley - Real Estate Broker
      Pmb 233, 15555 Main St #d-4, Hesperia, California, 92345
Daniel Lawrence Foley is a licensed real estate broker in the city of Hesperia, California. Daniel Lawrence Foley has real estate license number 01053575 which was issued by California Real Estate Department on 10 July, 2019. The current status of license is Licensed (Active) and it is valid till 09 July, 2023. The official mailing address of Daniel Lawrence Foley is Pmb 233, 15555 Main St #d-4, Hesperia, California, 92345.

Came up empty looking at the Texas Bar website.

I hope this helps. I'll do some further research...

      • Thanks for the info, that gives me something to work on. I knew Dan when he was at King and always wondered where he went.

    • As late as 1979, Dan Foley co-hosted a talk-interview show on KIRO 7. I can find NOTHING online regarding Dan Foley beyond that. Anybody?

  • 1977, the time of racquet ball, 6001, corvettes and uncertain futures.  Everyone was looking for something else (it was an unforgettable run)  and all went in separate directions.  I hope everyone’s wish’s were realized!

  • According to the KING nostalgia website Sam is a real estate attorney in California. According to the Portland Radio Guide he did nights in Porland prior to working at KING.

    • Prior to KING-AM in Seattle, Dan worked for King Broadcasting's Portland Oregon station complex, AM 620, KGW in the evening time slot. Prior to KGW, he had a brief stint at KPAM, then also in Portland.
