Ketchup on the records- obviously Greg didn't like the Spinners' tune. I wonder how tight the playlist was at the time. Maybe he could have substituted something he liked or just scraped the needle across the vinyl.
Greg Aust, aka "The Chucker" (while at KFRC - San Francisco) ... Now there is a guy I looked up to in the biz!
I really enjoyed listening to this audio scope of my brother Greg Aust at kvi .The show really does show Aust in his finest fashion! Smooth flowing and connecting with the listening audience! Thanks for sharing! Jeff5ok
Jeff.....knowing a bit about your brother, I get his inside joke at the front about most smart people moving to Kansas City.....where he was raised, but nobody knew that outside his family and a small group of buddies. I have noticed in some of his airchecks that there are these personal vignettes and humor that you better get if you know more about him....especially so in that "McKay incident at CKLW." I bet that was quite a shocker when he found out his younger brother was in fact the infamous CA surfer bum "Buddy Love" as in the guy in Mike Boss' latest historical story on XETRA.
Sam...that is a great contribution. I had no idea you had that much Aust audio. That really captures the flow, pacing and music in his show. Excellent scoping too. I am sending this link to his brother Jeff 50K.
