RadioInsight reports: Keith Shipman’s Horizon Broadcasting Group is purchasing 1230 KSBN Spokane (from Allen Gottlieb’s KSBN Radio Inc. for $155,000) and will enter into an LMA for 107.1 KPKL Deer Park (with an option to purchase the station from ‘Bob Anthony’ Fogal’s Spokane Broadcasting Company). The KPKL “KOOL Oldies” format switched to KEWU’s former home at 89.5 FM in November 2025. Shipman owns five stations in the Bend Oregon market.

Ship is a class act. He was at WSU at the same time that I was.
Keith is a good guy. I first met him at KPUG in 1974. Then saw him at KBFW when he was home from WSU. He has had a great career in Seattle radio and TV and has been effectively running WSAB for many years now. And he owns several radio stations.
