Shirley Vanek, the Sears Charm School lady. How quaint! Kinder, gentler days. Now, there would be "twerking" instructors, most likely drag queens.
They'd also teach you that being American is wrong.
I think radio DJs were second only to JP Patches in drawing a crowd.
