The bean counters at iHeart just got a raise

“Um, yeah. I’m going to need you to do an additional shift for our sister station…”
iHeart is notorius for syndicating jocks, getting twice or three times the labor out of one personality. The latest, KIOI (Star 101.3)/San Francisco has engaged the talents of Jillian Escoto to host middays, effective April 14. A 20-year iHeart veteran who currently serves as co-host of the top-rated Valentine In The Morning on sister KBIG (104.3 MYfm)/Los Angeles. She will retain that airshift alongside her new midday gig on Star 101.3. SF management says, ” We look forward to her becoming a trusted voice in our community.”
The sound of an out-of-town voice is detectable and is a turn-off. It is a dagger in the side of good radio.
