U of W Huskies ink 5-year deal with KJR

AllAccess.com  today reports that the U of W Huskies football & basketball rights holder – Learfield IMG College’s Huskies Sports Properties has signed a 5 year broadcast deal with iHeart’s sports 950 KJR.  This will put the team’s play-by-play broadcasts on the station through to the 2024-25 season. For the past 6 seasons, Huskies games have aired on Sinclair’s 1000/97.7 KOMO.  The deal puts football broadcasts with play-by-play voice Tony Castricone on KJR with a simulcast on “JACK-FM 96.5 KJAQ. Men’s basketball will also air on KJR. Women’s basketball will continue to air on Hubbard’s brokered Talk 1150 KKNW in 2020-21 but some games will air on KJR and all women’s games will move to KJR in the 2021-22 season.
