Unlike today, there’s a surprising shortage of special Christmas programming from the major networks.  CBUT-2 airs Queen Elizabeth’s yearly message to Commonwealth countries on Christmas Sunday 1:15 pm.  This telecast continues to be aired each year.  Basketball dominates Christmas eve Saturday afternoon programming.
