October 15, 1976 – What is it that’s “in the air, everywhere” at KIXI? The World Series, that’s what. In the car, at work, in study hall, radio coverage of the annual baseball series has been a god-send for those without TV access. And there are more folks than TV programmers would like to admit, who confess to turning down the tTV sound and turning up the radio for first-hand reports of their favorite sporting events. In any event, as one of its last grand flings with the CBS Radio Network, KIXI will broadcast all games necessary in the best-of-seven series, beginning with the first game from Cincinnati, at 9:45 a.m. tomorrow. Jim Kelly, network sports director, will do the play-by-play.
