Excerpts from Seattle P-I

May 15, 1993 – KidStar Radio, KKDZ, 1250 AM goes on the air for the first time at noon today.
The new 24-hour-station, which bought out KFOX late in 1992, hopes to draw listeners and members from more than 485,000 children between the ages of 5 and 12 who live in King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap Counties, says Jodell Seagrave, who left a radio career in San Francisco to launch KidStar in Seattle.
No matter how well the radio station goes over with its audience, it could be doomed, says Jay Albright, independent radio consultant and general manager of B.P. Consulting Group. “I don’t think anyone under the age of 40 will listen to any AM station unless it’s got a sports broadcast.

December 5, 1994 – Shawn Nunn, Tari Leeser and Lori Snyder have joined EZ Communications and KZOK-FM radio as account executives. In addition, Randy Becker has been named national sales manager for stations KMPS and KZOK.
KIXI-AM radio has named Bob Dearborn program director.
