I hope he told the police. In this environment threats have to be taken seriously. Did the sender have the nerve to identify himself?
Police can have it traced, if necessary. The ladies make a big deal when they are fat-shamed or criticized for not smiling enough. This goes way beyond any of that.
You are correct. It should not be part of his job to get threats. A big problem would be whether to take it seriously or not. Hard to just ignore the hostility within.
