    I remember d.j. Dave Paige. His show was called “KIRO Paiging”. Whenever he played a record by Art Van Damme, he called him Art Van Darn.

    I heard or read somewhere that KIRO’s call letters are based on the Greek letters “chi” and “rho”, the first two letters of the name Christ…Most of those 80 years they competed neck and neck with KOMO, which is rather amazing.
