I grew up watching Charles Herring presenting the news on KING-TV. He was certainly well respected.

Charles Herring offered me a gig at KAPY, but by the time I drove up to PA, he had given the position to someone else. He called the station manager at KONP and got me a job there, I was at KONP for 2 years.
