I wish I had been living here during this time. I was still living in the San Francisco area. This promotion was mentioned in Herb Cain,s column in the San Francisco Chronicle. One of the things he mention was something like ” i do not know what this proves exactly, all i know that in his salad days, don Sherwood could out drink both of them under the turntable” I was shocked to learn that Mr. Curtis was now on KOL. When we moved back up here, I was also surprised that Buzz Barr was on KJR. and disappointed that Lujack and Jerry Kay were gone.

So, that’s a little different than when the morning crew on Sports Radio KJR drinks each drinks a bottle of champagne after the last undefeated team in the NFL loses it’s first game to celebrate the 1972 Miami Dolphins.
I read about this in Herb Caens column in the S.F. Chronicle. He made the comment that in his salad days, Don Sherwood could outdrink both under the turntable. I wish someone had a recording of this.
