May 3, 1944 – KEVE to become KTYW

Actually, the station went off the air. KTYW became a new station in Yakima. The KEVE studio & transmitter were purchased by the Taft family for use in their Everett station KRKO. The KEVE call letters were picked up by a radio station in Minneapolis.
