    Reading that KING FM was broadcasting from shows made me wonder how they were accomplishing that from international locations. Were they using a phone line or some other way? 1967 was a long way from ISDN or other more recent methods.

      For that time period, it may have been broadcast over telephone lines. Very expensive!

    hmmm…reading this, one would get the impression that KYAC was a full-time station instead of a 6am-sunset operation. Sonny Buxton was one of the northwest’s most knowledgable jazz DJs & has been heard for years now on San Mateo’s KCSM 91.1 every Saturday from noon-2pm. Since this is an article focusing on Seattle’s jazz airwaves, there’s no mention of KLSN, KUOW, KBVU having regular jazz shows or even KOMO & KTAC which had weekly programs
