Jerry Kay goes off script; Lujack and Kay at WLS

WCFL’s PD had a word or two with Jerry when he strayed from the station’s standard top-of-the-hour ID:
Rather than The Voice of Labor , Jerry very seriously intoned “WCFL — the labored voice of Chicago.”

(WCFL was founded by the Chicago Federation of Labor (CFL) in 1926.)

  1. Yeah, wetting their pants over nothing. Everyone sees the humor in Jerry’s remark. If it isn’t a regular thing, just a one-off, no big deal.
