The ai video depicted the Obamas laughing amid palm trees with ape features, other Democrats as animals like JOE BIDEN WITH A MONKEY’S BODY (!!!), and Trump as the ‘King of the Jungle.’ It promoted 2020 election fraud claims and stayed online for about 12 hours before deletion. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called it a Lion King meme and dismissed outrage, though critics including Sen. Tim Scott labeled it racist, especially during Black History Month. The incident drew rebukes from figures across the spectrum, with some defenders noting all Democrats were shown as animals.
