Over the years, there had been a couple “sales” of the station which were announced in Broadcast Magazine that failed to develope.
** I was taught this spelling of the word ‘develope’ in elementary school. I don’t want to hear the argument that it is now ‘develop’ **
Several sources say: The correct modern spelling is develop. “Develope” with an “e” at the end is an old or archaic spelling, though it is sometimes seen in older British English styles.

This is from 1961 when the studios were moved to the transmitter site off Steilacoom Boulevard at Rigney Road. Note J.J. Valley on the airstaff.
