“The Bob & Sheri Show” on NOW! Media, announced it will end traditional radio syndication on December 31, 2026 and shift to a direct-to-consumer model, citing audience research. Specific platform, pricing, and launch details had not been announced at that time. Affiliates (about 50 at the announcement) will lose the show at year-end.
Radio is not cutting it for them. They can’t compete against other syndication. The jump to podcast-based production sounds like a last gasp. In comparison, the Jubal show, originated in Seattle, has only 25 affiliates, running in markets such as Portland, St. Louis, Austin, Denver, Sacramento, Honolulu, and Boise.
NOW! Media (also styled Now Media LLC / Now Media Digital Solutions) is a small independent radio, podcast, and digital company co-founded around 2017 by Sheri Lynch and Tony Garcia. It is often described as female- and Latinx-owned. Garcia is CEO; Lynch is co-owner and on-air talent.
Team Jubal Productions produces The Jubal Show. It was formed in 2020 by Jubal Fresh, Alex Fresh, and Eric Weiss (The Weiss Agency) when Jubal launched his own morning show after leaving Brooke & Jubal. The program originates from iHeartMedia’s Hits 106.1 (KBKS-FM) in Seattle.
Like Jubal’s show and similar morning radio programs, it usually airs for four hours on most affiliate stations. Four-hour podcasts are rare—Joe Rogan’s long episodes are an exception. Most listeners would not stay with a podcast that long. Die-hard “Bob & Sheri” fans may download a few episodes out of curiosity, but that’s more effort than it takes to flip on your car radio.
As a rough comparison, Gavin McInnes and Anthony Cumia run a podcast network featuring half a dozen shows and have recently had trouble holding onto subscribers. Churn is common across media. This will be one to watch.
