On October 1, 2026, hours after the Portland Trail Blazers announced Braiden Bell as their new TV play-by-play announcer, Haskins found tweets Bell had posted in late 2012 and early 2013 (when Bell was about 15). The posts included derogatory language about women and a comment insulting Asians. Haskins contacted the team for comment while reporting the story; the Blazers then said they would not move forward with Bell, citing a zero-tolerance policy for racist or sexist comments.

Oh my! Look here. Linda Cohn’s podcast exposed this sexist, ageist Tweet from Devon Haskins KGW 8 sports reporter. I wonder what KGW’s policy is on such things. The Tweet is from 2012.
