John Sattgast, Former Broadcast Coordinator & Senior Information Officer (HOUSE REPUBLICAN COMMUNICATIONS) informs us,
“After nearly 36 years of working in communications with the Washington State House Republican Caucus in Olympia, including 15 years as Broadcast Coordinator, I am stepping down from my position and retiring. I am thrilled to announce that Hanna Scott will be taking over as Broadcast Coordinator for the House Republicans in the state Legislature.”
Hanna brings more than two decades of radio news experience to the role, including reporting and anchoring positions in Harrisburg, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Seattle. Her career includes KFYI, KTAR, KFI and KIRO Newsradio, where she spent years covering breaking news, public safety, local government and Washington state politics, including a decade covering the Legislature.
Since joining the House Republican Caucus in 2022, Hanna has served as a public information officer and media contact, bringing her newsroom experience and established media relationships to legislative communications. She is now expanding the caucus’s broadcast programming and production, including audio and video content featuring our House Republican members.
“I want to take a moment to thank you for the many years of professional relationships and collaboration. My retirement has been in the works for several months, and while I will always have radio streaming through my veins, I am looking forward to dedicating my retirement to my family.”
