What does it stand for anyway? I can’t remember. That’s how effective that branding was. DON’T TELL ME! Because it would hurt my brain more to have that bit of trivia in my skull.
ARC. KOMO 4 tried to be clever, ARC has nothing to do with CW Network or the call letters KUNS. Merry Christmas, but lose the ARC brand in 2025, PLEEEEEEASE!

Nationwide travesty...

ARC, on any of the Sinclair stations, is just as horrible as the program running on KUNS, ARC Seattle. I happened to see a slice of ARC Maine on Youtube, their daytime gabfest with two hostesses. BARF!

I myself wish KUNS’ new general branding would have been “The CW Seattle” with its news branding being “KOMO News on the CW Seattle.”

I wonder what “QZVX” stands for?

Before it became politically incorrect, The ARC stood for The Association for Retarded Children.

I think that applies to much of the Mainstream media.

Could NOT agree more! Unfortunately, Sinclair appears unlikely to lose it because they are expanding the meaningless ARC brand to other metro areas. Ughh!

The brand stands for “authentic, relevant, and community”

ARC, or Audio Return Channel, is a feature on some TVs that allows you to send and receive audio through a single HDMI cable, instead of using an additional optical or composite audio cable. ARC can improve sound quality and latency by allowing audio signals to travel in both directions between the TV and an external audio device.

Thanks, John. Terrible branding idea.

Maybe it’s a reference to the electrical fire they had in their basement a few years back at then Fisher Plaza. ARC.

Good answer!
