So, KTNT switched to Country part-time M-f, evenings revert to AM simulcast. Weekend features include Classical music. FM continues to broadcast City-Council and Mutual news features. This was 1969. Seems like they had little faith in a Country format or wanted to be all-things-to-all-people.
KTNT AM ran an MOR format, with Mutual news features, midday talk show, Jazz late at night, Tacoma baseball, plus the City Council meetings.
At that time, no one could have imagined a KNBQ coming out of all of this.
