Nat Hunter Leaves Move 103.5

Nat Hunter, a veteran Canadian radio personality, is departing the Move 103.5 (CHQM-FM) morning show in Vancouver to return to Ontario and be closer to family.

Her last day co-hosting The Nat & Drew Show will be Friday, June 5. She has shared that this was a difficult personal decision after more than two decades on Vancouver airwaves, though she expressed deep gratitude for the listeners and the city she has called home.

Born in Etobicoke (Toronto’s west end) and raised in Burlington, Ontario, Hunter studied journalism but soon gravitated toward music radio and on-air entertainment roles. Before heading west, she worked in several Ontario media positions, including as a VJ at Country Music Television (CMT) and as a weather anchor and entertainment reporter in Kingston. She also had early radio experience, such as a morning news co-host role and other station stops.

In August 2003, she moved to Vancouver and teamed up with Drew Savage to launch The Nat & Drew Show on Z95.3 (CKZZ-FM). The duo built a loyal audience with their energetic, fun, and relatable style—often described as “Real Friends, Real Fun.” In 2014, they moved to QMFM (the predecessor to Move 103.5), where the show continued to thrive. The station rebranded to Move in 2020.

Over her 22+ years in Vancouver, Hunter became one of the market’s most recognizable morning hosts. She has volunteered extensively in animal rescue and served on the board of SAINTS, a B.C. charity supporting senior and special-needs animals.

Hunter is now set to return to Toronto, where she will co-host mornings on CHUM 104.5 alongside Josie Dye, beginning July 6, 2026—stepping into a prominent slot following Marilyn Denis.

Fans and colleagues have flooded social media with tributes, praising her warmth, humor, and the consistent joy she brought to their mornings. Many listeners noted following the show for its entire run, highlighting how it became a daily ritual. While this marks the end of an era in Vancouver, it opens an exciting new chapter for Hunter closer to home.
