    1. Standards have been lowered...

In 2000, the Royalty Program was updated to crown one man as King Neptune and one woman as Queen Alcyone. This outstanding couple is chosen based on their philanthropic contributions to the Puget Sound region and ability to inspire the communities in which they live.

Those standards have obviously been tossed aside. — And, as for Grand Marshall of the parade, in the past they chose Bill Nye The science guy, which shows me it is nothing more than a clown show.

Looking at the Seafair website, ELVIS was Grand Marshall in 2004. So, you are telling me, they paraded a corpse through the city?
