The U.S. House has passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, marking a major step forward for broadcasters and listeners who have pushed to keep AM radio available in new cars and trucks. The bill passed Tuesday by voice vote and now heads to the Senate.
The legislation would require automakers to keep AM radio access available in new passenger vehicles without charging drivers an extra fee.
