02/26/02 – Ron and Don, midday hosts recently dropped from KYNG-FM 105.3 Dallas, will begin March 1 at KQBZ-FM 100.7 “The Buzz” Seattle. Meanwhile, Dave Richards, former WKQX-FM 101.1 and WRCX-FM 103.5 Chicago Program Director has been named the new PD of KISW-FM 99.9 Seattle effective March 4. He had been PD at KZOK-FM 102.5 Seattle from 1992-1994.
02/21/02 – “The rock is back” at KISW-FM 99.9 Seattle as the station moves from a classic rock sound to “up-tempo, hard-rocking, guitar-driven rock ‘n’ roll”. Meanwhile, other Seattlites beside Jim Wilke appearing on Sirius Satellite Radio include Phil Harper, Tami Bennett, Brian Gregory, Dave Yates and Cathy Faulkner.
02/20/02 – KGHO AM 920 Olympia is off the air again. This time it has been several days.
02/15/02 – The FCC has granted assignment of license for KONP AM 1450 Port Angeles from Radio Pacific Inc. to Olympic View Broadcasting Inc. Sale of the station was announced last month for a reported $850,000.
02/12/02 – Andy Skotdal, President and GM of KRKO AM 1380 Everett has agreed to three concessions if the expansion of the station to 50 kw is approved by the county hearing examiner.

02/06/02 – On March 1 Fisher Communications will be picking up the joint sales agreement that Entercom is dropping with classical KING-FM 98.1 Seattle.
02/05/02 – PM Drive host Rudy Chase takes over from Morning Host/Music Director Marc Stevenson at CHWF-FM 106.9 “The Wolf” Nanaimo. Meanwhile, News Director John French is released at “Mountain FM” CISQ-FM 107.1 Squamish/CISW-FM 102.1 Whistler.
02/01/02 – As of 9 a.m. today KLSY-FM 92.5 Seattle is “Mix 92.5”. A new feature is one hour of commercial-free music weekday mornings at 9. On-air hosts remain the same. In a classy move, the website was updated to reflect the change at the same time as the on-air announcement.
